roam if you want to

there is just something about that unique experience of a trip. Every part of traveling from beginning to end excites me. when i arrive at the airport with bags packed, travel clothes on, passport and boarding pass in hand, and the overwhelming anticipation of what is to come, nothing can put me in a bad mood. i think i would chose traveling over anything else in this world. i have been lucky enough to have a handful excursions around the U.S of A and abroad.  from road tipping to the bad lands of South Dakota to exploring the very sexy city of bangkok. honestly, i would love to live the life of a drifter hopping from plane to train, city to city, and country to country. just call me keokee super tramp! i will admit that my travels have been a little plush, and my slightly high maintenance style would start to make this venture quite expensive. i am not exactly the backpack type. who knows though, someday you might find me drifting from hostile to hostile sporting a stylish pack on my shoulders. until then i must reminisce on my past globe-trotting from my dreary southern ohio college campus.
here are a few glimpses of some of my favorite trips.

                                                                               maui

i Will live here someday, i swear to god. i do not think i have ever been as happy in my life as when i was in hawaii. i totally understand how people live on the beach and just be surf bums. that is my life goal. honest. totally open up a smoothie shack and spend my days in a bikini on the beach. there is no beach like a maui beach.

Nicaragua

it is so insanely cliche, but this trip changed my life. growing up with so many privileges it can be easy to forget that there is an extremely different world out there. on this trip i traded in hotels for bunk beds and pools for playing with little kiddies in orphanages, and i wouldn't have had it any other way.

no makeup and sweating through a t-shirt and couldn't be happier. (ohmygod this little chica adorable!)
ireland and the u.k
i feel like this is a pretty decent picture if i do say so myself.
london calling!
this was an academic trip i went on the summer of my highschool sophomore year with my younger sister, talli. two words: no parents.

there is nothing i love more than a good wetsuit. especially when we get to white water raft in Scotland!

thailand

my most recent and probably most exciting trip was to thailand. this summer my family and my two friends, linda and allie, traveled east . . . way east for the most insane ten days of my life. it was kind of bitter sweet though. we stayed with our foreign exchange student (fes), pa. however, when we left she                 stayed. miss you paaaaazaaaazaaaaa!
some hookah and some drink with my lovely friend pa.

thailand is the most exotic place i have ever seen. the crowded and urban city of bangkok is indescribable. the colorful culture is truly unique. i mean look! we are on an elephant!  i love how integrated the old and cultural buddhist traditions are with the modern city. the beaches are truly choice as well. however, there is one huge difference between thai beaches and most others around the world. they are covered with umbrellas. literally umbrella touching umbrella all the way down the beach. you would never see a local tanning. so not in fashion.

this market was set up with train tracks running right through it. when ever a train comes they actually have seconds to pick up their goods and fold up their tents. just as quickly as they folded everything up the market is put back to normal as if nothing even happened.

with a great wardrobe and a fabulous destination the possibilities for insanely wonderful experiences is endless. when you arrive in an new city the feeling of awe is overwhelming. there is nothing like entering an entirely new world.

introduction.

i have done it. i have finally joined the world of self entitled individuals who think that people really care what you have to say in addition to facebook, twitter, tumbler, instagram, and good old fashioned conversation. i have created a blog. i am not an aspiring, journalist or photographer just an average student with not so average opinions. what you can expect form this blogging experience is a lot of rants (positive and negative) about any thing from politics, music, clothes, food, to nail polish, or anything else my heart desires. it is my blog after all. however, like any other respectable blog you can expect obsessions over fashion and lots of amateur photography.
and so begins my thoughts on life via the interweb.
